1987 YAMAHA WARRIOR 350 back fires and misses badly when u give it gas?
WHEN ATV STARTS AND U GIVE IT GAS IT MISSES BADLY,U HAVE TO KEEP THROTTLE ON TO KEEP IT GOING,BACK FIRES ALSO, SOMETIMES ITS HARD TO GET STARTED ALSO, I CHECKED STATOR AND THERE WAS A WIRE BROKE INSIDE SO I FIXED IT AND RAN GOOD FOR 1 DAY AND NOW ITS BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS,STARTER IS VERY NOISY ALSO,WHEN IT RUNS ITS A GOOD RUNNING MACHINE
Hello,
It sounds like you need to time the engine and set the valve/rocker gap (if it has that setup)
Difficult starting and backfiring is a common fault when an engine is not timed correctly.

how do i turn an electric start atv into a kickstart atv...?
is there anyway i can put a starter clutch on my electric start atv... i have an 87 yamaha warrior
not going to happen, unfortunatly without a kick start its basically worthless to begin with, manufacturers have been figuring out any way to save a few bucks, this is one way, I would not buy an arv without a kick start, or a motorcycle for that matter, and this question is why. sorry
