how do you make a very rusty chain function the way a new chain does?
it's kinda old but it still has some good years left in it
As cheap as some chains are get a new one, if you insist on using the old one, put it in some penetrating oil and let it soak. Wipe clean and repeat a few time to get as much rust and crud off as you can. Think of the rust as a very fine sand paper, this grit will wear the chain gears etc. out fairly fast so be forewarned. After it is as clean as you can get it use a good oil for lubrication, penetrating oils do not provide adequate lubrication.
I live in a loft apartment and have no closets. I need to be able to hang clothes up. I've tried those racks from walmart and target and they seem to always fall over--other's have had same complaint. Do you know how to build a hanging rack? What should I use? It would be best if the rack could be supported from the floor and not hang from the ceiling. Thanks!
How handy are you? If you have the tools and the ability then I would go get a couple of 2x4s cut 2 of them to about 7' tall take a board about 4' long and attach that to the top of the 2, 7 footers. Then I would make a simple base to attach to each of the legs so that it will free stand upright. I then would buy some hollow tubing (PVC or electrical conduit pipe) no less than 4 foot 6 inches long drill 2 sets of holes (to fit the tubing), one set about 6 foot off the floor and another set about 4 foot off the floor. Run the pipe thru, it should give you about an inch on either side to cap and lock it in place and you are done.

I HAVE A 550 ENGINE THAT ONLY RUNS ON ONE CYL, THE MAG SIDE.CHECKED COMPRESSION,OK AT 130 PER CYL.HAVE SPARK AT THE COLD CYL. HAS FUEL AT THAT CYL,PLUG IS WET AFTER RUNNING FOR A MINUTE.CDI IS BRAND NEW,COIL IS NEW. CHANGED CRANK SEAL ON THAT END.STATIC TIMING IS OK.NEW THROTTLE SWITCH. PULLED BOTH CLY. AND CHECKED CRANK WITH DEGREE WHEEL THAT WAS OK.HAVE ABOUT 7-10 LBS VACUUM AT FUEL PUMP OUTLET. WHAT IS LEFT? AT WITS END ON THIS ON.!!!
Boy! Not much you haven't tried . Just a stab in the dark but i would check to may sure the start enrichment plunger is seating properly closed when you take it off after the engine starts.
someone please help literally i just paid $100 for a civic it needs a new head and a driver side door that's it i have those parts just laying around but the car is pretty much gutted so i had a epiphany and said wow this would be great for project car. im planning on takeing over this years drop jaw mag event. i only have on question what engine would be the best for this car WITH NO ENGINE BAY MODS i dont want to cut all day i want to pull the 1.5 and replace it bolt for bolt no modding simple bolt and play. please help i was wanting the K20 but someone told me the new popular swap is the D16 so please someone the best answer goes to the one who explains the following. dont go d16, not worth the time. no power. its an economical motor. b-series is the more performancy motor. b-series k-series and h-series would be your best bet. out of the b-series the most common swaps would be b16a which is JDM. has around 170-180hp stock. i think its right in the middle 175. depends who you talk to...b16a2 from a del sol or most commonly a 99-00 civic Si. they have 160hp. those both are 1.6 L (future reference engine code tells you how big motor is b18-1.8 h22-2.2 k20 2.0L etc)... the more powerful b-series motors would be the b18 family. for a decent more turbo oriented build i would go with a b18b1 from an ls integra. i would NOT go LS-VTEC. its very rare to find someone who built it the right way and very common to find people with blown ls-vtec builds. b18b1 are non vtec motors. they have alot of torque and a decent hp rating and are ideal for turbo builds. the next few motors i would build for all motor naturally aspirated builds. the b18c1 from an integra gsr has 180 hp and is a very common swap. its cheap power basically. then you get into the more rare motors like the b18c5 from a USDM type-r integra but i would go with a b18c from a JDM type-r or GSR same engine code but different hp ratings. i think the tyoe r has 200 and the gsr has 190 they are pretty much the same motor but the type r has polished head and little fine tunings that make it a bit more powerful. those are what i would choose if you went b-series. if you went this route all you would need to do really is buy a motor mount kit from hasport i believe and there ya go. you get the motor tranny ecu and wiring harness and such.
for k-series i would go with a k20a from a type-r all k20a have 200+ hp depending on who built them if its a stock honda motor its 200 then you get into the mugen versions and different year type r which can be 220hp. then theres the accord type r from europe which has like 260 i think. im more of a b-series guy so i dont know much about k-series i just know i hate i-vtec its a good motor but its not what i like. and they are NOT the most advanced 4 cylinders. that guy is on crack the best 4 cylinder would be an f20c from a honda S2000. 250hp. its a historic motor, it had the most hp to displacement ratio out of any car ever made. over 100hp per litre. it beat out every super car...
with a k series you need to buy the hasport swap kit. the axles and hub assembly and all that. good swap just very expensive.
H-series. dont know much about them. dont like them. i know h22a from an accord euro r i would go with that. very nice motor.
i'm a 15 year old female. and for the past 2 years and a half, i avoided big mirrors like my bathroom mirror. but i used compact makeup mirrors and took pictures on my cell to substitute. is that ok to do? does that give you an accurate image of wat you look like? i recently look in my bathroom mirror at least once a day, trying to get used to it because ive realized that its stupid and i just want to be confident. i looked online to see that after this long my brain isnt used of seeing a large mirror view of myself. im insecure, shy etc. i just want to be satisfied with myself and try to reach that without prfessional help . some friends say im pretty, family says im beautiful/gorgeous but i dont see it. NO one knows this is what ive been going through. so is a mirror a mirror? compact or not and is cell phone picture just as accurate? how can i just go through life as a normal confident girl? please any answer will do

They may act confident but they are all bluffing!! It's normal to be insecure in our society about how you look because we see perfect people in magazines, tv, etc. We look at ourselves, especially during puberty, and only see ugliness.
We have to get beyond this because 1) your bodies are changing, there's nothing you can do about that, and 2) nobody is perfect and 3) you just have to see your personality as who you are, which is really true.
