my motorcycle isnt turning on even when kill switch is on?
its a 92 yamaha fzr 600. when i turn the key into the on position and the killswitch to the on position, all i hear is a click from the Hitachi digital igniter, and nothing happens when i press start button. i have a new battery so its not the battery. if i wait a couple of minutes, i hear a sound from inside the motorcycle, then when i hit start it turns on,
why is it taking long for my bike to turn on?
If the battery is new and full charged, then the other possibilities are a bad or shorted connection somewhere between the starter button and the starter solenoid, or between the solenoid and the actual starter.
You will need a service manual and a multi tester to track down the problem. Happy hunting. Or you can take it to a shop and pay a tech or mechanic to troubleshoot the starting system. At $70/hr average hourly shop rate, that should take about oh anywhere from 1/2 hour to 3 hours to find and fix the problem. And the above rate does not include parts!

How to make a kill switch for a Fender Stratocaster (OLD)
Viper Alarm Valet Button?
Ok so I have for sure lost my Car Alarm Remote (model with remote featuring a 3-button keyless entry, no lcd or anything fancy) and I now only have my extra key itself. I'm not locked out but the kill switch feature prevents me from turning my car on. The car is a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta (VR6). I was told that there may be a "Valet/Override" button or switch on or around the cars dash or something but I cannot find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. It's sitting in a parking lot and I would like to grab it before they decide to tow it.
Pop the hood. A wire for the car alarm should be running into the fuse box. I would pull the wire out which will deactivate the alarm. The alarm may even be hard wired to your battery. So pull the terminal and any connections going to it. You should be able to start it.
