I am looking to buy atv. Both of these are priced the same. What is the better. Here are my choices...?
2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 with 278 miles and the other is a 2007 Can Am Outlander 500 EFI standard model that is brand new and comes with three year warranty. Last wheeler I owned was a 700 efi sportsman. Just want to make sure I choose right. Will I be happy with a 500 Can Am motor or will that feel way underpowered than what I am use to? Thanks!
The outlander is the better of the two. It has more hold back when going down hills so you don't have to use the break as much to try and slow down. Also it rides great and is based off of the Bombardier ds650 (made by can am) the only stock atv sport quad to ever finish the Baha 500 without breaking down and placed in the top 10.
If you are bigger then 150 you will want the larger engine. The 500 is a good size quad but like for me i have ridden them and they just seem way under powdered with someone over 150 on them.

2010 Arctic Cat 450 EFI ATV 4x4
My ATV is sometimes stalling and the RPMs jump up randomly and stay there.... bas gasoline?
I took my ATV out for a spin after letting sit for about 1.5 months and when I let it idle, the RPMs started to drop so far down below idle ( normal idle is about 1,250 rpm) that I quickly gave some gas and the rpms shot up to 3,000 and stayed there even when I was not giving it any gas! I thought it was a stuck throttle but it is not. Could bad gasoline cause this? It is a Polaris Sportmsan 500 EFI so it is fuel injected.
About all you can do is remove old gas and replace with fresh. If it starts to run better, you are lucky.
You should mix fuel stabilizer in fuel that is going to be stored.
