kawasaki how can i tighten my rear suspension on my klr 650?
HOW CAN I TIGHTEN MY REAR SUSPENSION ON MY KLR?
If by tighten you mean make it stiffer, then adjust the spring preload by screwing down the adjuster ring on the top of spring to compress it. Not familiar with your particular bike but some shocks are also adjustable for damping which controls the rate that the shock compresses and rebounds.If your shock is leaking then it will have very little or no damping which means that the back end will bounce up and down with no damping at all.To diagnose your problem, bounce the back end up and down a few times. Now try lifting the rear of bike. You should only be able to lift it about an inch before you start lifting the bike.This measurement is known as static sag. Adjust spring preload to achieve this measurement. Now try compressing the back end and if damper is working, it will slow down the rate of compression and the speed at which the bike returns to original position. If you can bounce the suspension up and down like a pogo stick, then your shock is not damping sufficiently, or at all.Compression (down) and rebound(up) damping can be adjusted on certain shocks to acheive the desired result. Long winded I know but worth doing.

what is the torque value for the rear tire bolts on 86 kawasaki 454 ltd?
Trying to change the rear tire of my 1986 kawasaki 454 ltd and need to know the torque values...any help?
That would be the rear axle, James (I think).
As tight as you can get it by hand with a standard wrench.
