Jeep is an all-purpose vehicle that is capable of traversing rough terrain. The first jeep prototype was designed by the Department of Army for purposes of carrying personnel and supplies.
Later on, Ford and Willys-Overland produced two more jeep prototypes. In the end, Ford and Willy's-Overland manufactured the first mass production of jeeps.
The origin of the word jeep is not clear, however people believe that the word came from phonetically slurred pronunciation of "GP" or vehicle for general purpose.
Some people also think that the name for this multi purpose vehicle came from a character in Thimble Theater comic strip Popeye, the character is known as Eugene the Jeep. Eugene the Jeep is a character that could walk through walls and ceilings, climb trees, fly and just go anywhere it wanted.
Early Americans believe that soldiers were so impressed with the versatility of the jeep that they named their prototype from the comic character.
After the production of the first jeep prototype and the second set of jeep prototypes from Ford and Willys-Overland, Willys-Overland Motor Company was designated to produce the first mass production of jeeps in Toledo, Ohio.
However, because of the huge quantity requirement of the United States Government, Ford Motor Company complimented Willys-Overland to help complete the requirements.
In combination, the production of Willys-Overland and Ford reached about 600,000 units of this high mobility multipurpose-wheeled vehicle, which some call hum-vee.
The jeep is widely copied by other countries such as in France and The Netherlands. The french version of the jeep is designed by Hotchkiss and in The Netherlands, Nekaf is the manufacturer of their jeep.
Other versions of the jeep are the railway jeep and the amphibious jeep, which are more useful than any other vehicle of its size.
Part of the war effort brought jeeps to the Red Army during the World War II.
Today, the trademark holder of Jeep is DaimlerChrysler. DaimlerChrysler is the successor of the company Willys-Overland. Jeep aficionados are believed to recognize the distinction of the seven bar grille design of jeep as popular as Mickey Mouse.
DaimlerChrysler also believes that the jeep brand is famous worldwide, second only to the Coke brand. This can be true for those who are lovers of this versatile vehicle.
It is true that jeeps are multipurpose and known worldwide; as in fact, there are also producers of the jeep brand in Beijing, China. This manufacturer did this coming from the joint venture between Beijing Jeep Corporation Ltd., and DaimlerChrysler Corporation located in China.
In addition, other jeep vehicles have different model designation. Some of them are civilian jeep that carries the "xJ" designation although not all are well-known as the classic CJ or Civilian Jeep.
Historical models of the jeep:
Jeep CJ - Civilian Jeep similar to the original Willys' Jeep
Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Honcho - Full-sized pickup truck
Jeep Cherokee - The original SUV
Jeep Dispatcher - A postal truck for the USPS
Jeep Jeepster - Passenger truck
Jeep Forward Control - Light truck
Jeep Wagoner - SUV
Current Jeep models
Jeep Wrangler - small successor of the Jeep CJ (TJ in Canada)
Jeep Grand Cherokee - large family-oriented SUV
Jeep Liberty - Small SUV (called Cherokee outside of North America)
Jeep Commander - Newest model in the Jeep line, it is a seven passenger SUV
Jeep is a multi-purpose vehicle, which you can use even on rough terrain. It is very helpful to have one especially for those who are using their vehicle for their business.

I hav 4gb ram.How do I utilize all of it in windows xp professional 32-bit using PAE. I have intelCore 2 quad.?
I read something about PAE(Physical Address Extension) in "99 ways to make your computer blazingly fast" in which I am positive I read(in the 98th point) that one can make use of 4gb of ram in 32 bit operating systems. But I don't know how to do so as it is not clearly written.PLEASE HELP.
It's possible to use 4GB in a 32-bit OS or even more but with XP SP2/3 your SOL.
XP SP1 allowed access to all 4GB but because of some badly written drivers, support for the 32-bit OS using the remapped RAM was withdrawn by MS.
The best you can probably hope for is using a special RamDisk such as http://www.superspeed.com/desktop/ramdisk.php to make use of those few hundred Megabytes that Windows ignores.
Does anyone know if windows 7 ultimate supports 4, quad core CPUs or will it not recognize all the cores?
Basically Im buying a computer that has 4 CPUs and each CPU has 6 cores running at 2.6Ghz, but I dont know if windows 7 ultimate will support that many cores. So I was wondering if anyone knew the maximum specs supported by windows 7?
Hello,
I would like to know the same answer.
I'm considering building my own 4 CPU (8 core per CPU) AMD-based rendering workstation.
But, as far as I can determine, Microsoft's Windows 7 (any version) only supports 2 physical CPUs. Of couse, their server software does support more than 2 CPUs.
As an alternative, what about Ubuntu? Does anyone know if it natively supports more than 2 physical processors?
in zelda twilight princess how do i get in to the deep temple?
I no i have to get my candle or what ever its called lite but i can find a fire.i no were 1 is but it wont let me go there because of the purple stuff in the swamp and the monkey burnt out my candle so thats why im asking plz help?
Well, I believe you're referring to the Forest Temple, so here's what is provided in an FAQ
Credited to A Darkstar Ripclaw
ORDON FOREST
------------
Watch the scenes. With that said, it is time to head to the Forest
Temple.
As such, first head to the intersection between left and right, with the
right side going into the tunnel. Head left instead, and go and talk to the oil
salesman whom is still sitting here. He will first give you a Small Key to get
into Faron Woods (now locked off with the gate), and offer to sell you a Bottle
of Oil for 100 Rupees. The Bottle and Oil both will be important, so purchase
the bottle. If you do not have 100 Rupees, get 100. Afterwards, head back, and
open the gate with your key. Head through the tunnel (with the only change being
a few rats that will run around) until you get out to the other side.
Out here, head up to the dock pier with your lantern equipped and out in
your hand. Cue a cutscene, and the monkey will carry it across the fog to repel
it, allowing you to follow. Not much to say here, as it's pretty straightforward
follow the leader, except to kill the few monsters that come out of the miasma.
Once you get to the other side, reclaim your lantern, and fill it up. Head into
the next area. Here, pick up some more oil at Trill's shop, and pay him.
Continue on, and you'll face a white wolf blocking the temple's path.
!!!HIDDEN SKILL ALERT!!!
You will then be transported to elsewhere. Try to strike the skeleton,
and listen to what he says. Afterwards, knock him down then Z-Target + A to use
the Ending Blow. Once done, the skeleton will talk some more, and you will then
be transported back. Head up the hill, defeat the Orc guards, and then light the
cobweb using your lantern. Enter the Forest Temple.
And that's that my friend, I hope this helped you! Good luck and if you need more help in the Forest Temple, send me an email (I believe my email is provided in my profile).
The show ran about the same time as and covered similar topics to Beakman's World, in fact sharing one crew member, editor/writer/director Michael Gross. He made an appearance on the Disney Channel's New Mickey Mouse Club in its forty-eighth episode Anything Can Happen Day. Before this show, Bill Nye had previously worked alongside Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future: The Animated Series, where Nye played Doc Brown's assistant and demonstrated several experiments.
Bill Nye the Science Guy has been likened to a modern Mr. Wizard. Bill's TV persona is a tall and slender scientist wearing a lab coat and a bow-tie. He mixes the serious science of everyday things with fast-paced action and humor. Each show begins with Bill walking onto the set, called "Nye Labs", which is filled with scientific visuals (including many "of science" contraptions announced dramatically, such as "The slingshots of Science!") relevant to the topic of the show. Most episodes contain a mock song parody and music video in the "Soundtrack of Science" by "Not That Bad Records", substituting a scientific roundup of the episode for the lyrics to a popular song. Each show ends with Bill explaining his departure in a clever description of an activity on topic. The credits sometimes rolled next to a series of outtakes from the episode. Other times, outtakes are shown at the time they actually happened.
Another popular member of the cast is the announcer Pat Cashman, whom Nye knew from his time on Almost Live!. Some announcers who subbed in for Cashman include Ernie Anderson, Gary Owens, and Brian Cummings. In 1996, Bill made a guest appearance on Cartoon Network's talk-show Space Ghost Coast to Coast in its twenty-fourth episode, Boo! with Michael Norman. A year later, he made a guest appearance on the long-running PBS series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

Theme song
Aside from Bill himself, one of the most memorable things about Bill Nye the Science Guy is its theme song. The bass-heavy theme is set to a Hip hop beat with Bill's name shouted throughout the duration of the song. The sound and speed fluctuations of the voice were accomplished through a vocoder and electronic pitch fluctuator. The theme song is credited to Mike Greene.
Production music
The show's episodes consisted of several compositions from Associated Production Music, some featured tracks include:
"Act of Heroism (c)
"Blood in the Gutter" by Laurie Johnson
"Drama Impact #3"
"The Gunfighter" by Ennio Morricone
"Hit and Run" by Ralph Dollimore
"Killer Birds" by Gregor Narholz
"Saw Theme"
Many of these tracks were also featured in many Nickelodeon cartoons in the 1990s. Another common track used was the theme from the English show Dave Allen At Large, here used as the theme from "The Jackie Smazz Show."

Video Game
A computer game for the series, titled Bill Nye the Science Guy: Stop the Rock!, was released in 1996 for PC and Macintosh by Pacific Interactive. In the game, a large meteoroid called "Impending Dum" threatens to make a catastrophic collision with the Earth. A team of scientists develop a laser satellite-controlling computer system called MAXX to destroy the meteoroid; however, MAXX develops a personality of its own (in an obvious parody of the sentient computer HAL from the film and novel 2001: A Space Odyssey) and refuses to save the planet unless Earth's scientists can solve seven science riddles. Nye Labs decides to take on MAXX's challenge, and the player, depicted as the newest member of the Nye Labs team, is asked to solve these riddles before Impending Dum hits (represented through an in-game timer). The game featured a fully explorable Nye Labs, as well as video cut scenes featuring Bill Nye and other Nye Labs scientists. However, the characters and cast members from the TV series, sans Bill Nye and a few others, do not appear in this game, instead being replaced by game-exclusive Nye Labs team members and new actors.

i have a 92 mustang project with a clear TN title i am trading to this guy for a 97 honda 300ex atv he said the lady he bought it from had lost the title but he has no problem with giving me a bill of sale on it how do i need to make it out and what should i put on it where it ask for the "sale price" he said he'd get her number in the morning to get in touch with her about applying for a lost title on the atv
Assess the value of the mustang and write in that amount. If the car is apart then you can low ball the price for tax purposes.
