Is there a way to bypass Solenoid Switch on my Yamaha Warrior?
My Solenoid Switch in bad on my Warrior is there some way I can bypass this? Can I hook the wires straight to the startor? Or maybe short the ciruit with a screw driver? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The solenoid acts as a remote control switch, or relay,as the current required to operate the starter would be too heavy to put through the starter button, look at the thickness of the wires to the starter. Shorting it with a screwdriver would be an emergency method, you may get some sparks, you may have petrol leaking someplace....Is there anything at all happening when you try to start? No clicks? Maybe you just have a poor connection in the circuit, or even the battery is on the way out Pull apart any connectors and make sure they are clean and fitting together properly.

What is a evaporation purge solenoid switch? What is the importance of it?
The reason I'm asking is because I am looking at a used Subaru and this is the only part that needs repair. So I don't know if it is a red flag or not a big deal.

It is 2 stop hydrocarbon emissions,from entering atmosphere,if it's ur only prob.& it is at a good price buy it.Please repair r replace it however,I luv fresh air.
