Why is my shifter lever shaking in first gear? (06 Jeep Wrangler)?
I have noticed that while starting out in first gear my shifter lever shakes loosely. It does not seem that it is secure, but it only does this in first. Also, I could swear that while the shifter shakes, I am also getting a little shake with the body. Once the RPMs rise past 500 the shaking in both the shifter and body stop and the car runs normally. What is going on?
Well, most cars do begin to shake if your RPM is below 500. That's below your idle point. Give your vehicle some more gas when starting out.
