Gas tank overflows while you try to pump gas - it is on 1/4 tank - which is correct. When removing gas cap - lots of air comes out. Now system engine light is on. Any ideas - NO STUPID ONES - I KNOW the gas gauge works so DO NOT answer with that AND I know how to pump gas- this is a new problem.
You are having problems with tank ventilation. That why you can't fill it. The return air is stuck inside the tank and can't get out. This is why the check engine light is on. Take your car down to Auto Zone and they will pull the codes out of the computer and tell you whats wrong and they do this for free.

What should i check on a 93 dakota to fix stalling?
I have a 1993 dodge dakota v6 3.9 liter, that has a stalling problem and a fuel gauge that does not work. As for the stalling, it will do it randomly and no noise comes from the fuel pump when trying to restart. I have replaced the entire fuel pump unit, changed my ASD and Fuel pump relays, changed my plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, and still it stalls. As for the gas gauge, all fuses are good, and i even replaced the gauge, still nothing. The gauge just lays on empty. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
IAC system.
#1 is the Idle air control system, the power train control module learns preset values for IAC settings that are dictated by battery voltage.
If you have a weak battery and or connections the PCM cannot correct for under or over voltage situations thus engine stall due to To slow opening of IAC or To fast.
How do you replace the parking brake pedal assembly on a 1994 oldsmobile cutlass supreme?
My buddy and I need to replace the parking brake pedal and assembly on a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme FWD. I can find the assembly but I can't find the instructions to replace it. Unfortunately I cannot afford to get it professionally done, and I can't afford the repair manual. Can somebody help me?
this is not a job you want to do yourself. if you are going to do yourself, the tools are going to cost as much as just taking it to a service shop.
What is the purpose of the parking brake on an automatic car?
So you can select 'Park' on an automatic car to stop the car from rolling if it is stopped. A parking brake is provided on manual transmission cars as they don't have a 'Park' facility. Why is a parking brake provided on automatic cars?
The park position in an automatic isn't much different than simply putting a stick shift in gear when you park. It prevents the drive shaft or front axles from rotating.
The parking brake, on the other hand, locks up the brakes on the rear wheels - this eliminates any unnecessary stress on the clutch or park mechanism when you park on a hill.
Need to repair a hole in plastic gas tank. What is most common type of plastic for gas tanks?
I was working on my 1988 Yamaha 570 Exciter this weekend and accidentally drilled a 1/8" hole in the bottom of the plastic gas tank. I tried using some two part epoxy putty to fill in the hole without success. I also tried plugging the hole with a bolt without success. I have a plastic welder and plan on using it to try to fill the hole next; however, I do not know what type of plastic it is made from. I am leaning towards polyethylene but am not sure. If any one knows, or has any ideas for a repair I would appreciate them as the tank has been discontinued. Thank you.

How Are Septic Tanks Made?
How Are Septic Tanks Made?
What happens each time you flush the toilet, throw water in the sink or vacate the tub of the water in it? Well, the water disappears. But, where does this water go? If you are a resident of a big city, you might say that it does to the sewage water treatment centre or the sewer. However, in places like Canada, where people live in small communities and in rural areas, they don't have access to any sort of sewage water treatment facilities or sewers. Hence, these citizens of Canada, besides many other people all over the world, a septic system is set up. This septic system processes and gets rid of the waste water. A septic tank is one thing which first treats the waste water and then releases the part which can be reused back into the ground. Septic tanks are also called onsite waste water systems.
How Does a Septic Tank Work?
Firstly, a septic tank gets the used waste water from a regular household use and it then proceeds to treat it until the waste water reaches a safe level. After that the tank returns the reusable part of the waste water to the ground water system. This reusable water is called effluent.
An Outline of the Septic System
The basic components of a septic system are: - Sewer line - Septic tank - Leaching system or 'drain field'
How is the Septic Tank Made?
What are septic tanks? They are basically watertight structures made up of concrete, fiberglass and/or polyethylene. Initially, the septic tanks were made up of wood and steel. However, the disadvantage with steel septic tanks is that it rusts easily. Hence, if you live in an old house and have a steel septic tank, take the necessary precautions and make sure that it does not rust. Coz if your septic tank rusts, then you will have to replace the whole tank. On the other hand, the disadvantage with the wooden tank was that it will rot one day or the other. Hence, it does not have a long life. If you do have a wooden septic tank, it will have to be replaced as here is no scope of repairing it.
Septic tanks are buried beneath the ground and they come in different sizes. The type of treatment required by the water at your place and the amount of water disposed everyday are the factors which decide the size of the septic tank at your place. These septic tanks have about one or two compartments. This depends on the location and time of its installation. A basic septic tank comprises of a holding tank which is made out of concrete, fiberglass or even polyethylene.
The septic tank or the holding tank sustains the solid waste present in the waste water which has come from the household. The septic tank is then linked to an absorption system called a leach field. This leach field will then get rid of all the effluent water or the reusable water into the soil.

What year is this engine? Have you checked the flywheel key? If you put the plug in and it locks up it would mash the end of the plug in, is there a gap still in the end of the plug? You can take out the plug and with a flash light look in the plug hole and turn over by hand and see if valves are turning. If need more help email me and see if we can figure it out. shawn_ribble@yahoo.com. Small Engine Mechanic as a Hobby.

Eat to Grow Muscle Choosing Foods for Muscle Growth
Eat to Grow Muscle Choosing Foods for Muscle Growth
It's hard to argue with the idea that you need to eat enough of the right kinds of food if you want to grow muscle. But what are the right foods for muscle growth? With all the misleading information and fad eating plans out there, that's a trickier question. Fortunately, there are some basic facts that help clear things up. Keep reading for the straight information you need if you're going to pick foods to grow muscle.
Muscle Growth Requires You to Eat
You know you have to work hard to stimulate your body to build muscle. Well the actual act of building muscle is hard work too. Your body has to burn a lot of energy when it builds new muscle. That means you may well have to eat more than you are now to give your body the calories it needs to build bigger muscles.
But that isn't a license to stuff your face all day. Stuffing yourself with jelly donuts or other junk foods will increase the number of calories you get, but that's not going to help your body build big muscles. You still need to eat healthy foods for muscle growth or you'll just get fat instead of more muscular. That's where the rest of this article comes in.
Protein is Your Top Priority
When you work out hard enough to build new muscles, you're in reality damaging the muscles that you want to make bigger. Your body responds to the damage by repairing the damage and at the same time rebuilding the muscles a little bigger and stronger to handle the stress. And protein is the construction material your body uses for this rebuilding job. If you don't eat enough protein, your body will run out of raw materials and won't be able to make the muscle stronger or even repair the damage you do working out. You'll fail to make your muscles bigger. In fact, over time, they'll get weaker instead of stronger and you'll probably end up injuring yourself.
So getting enough high-quality protein is your top priority. The best sources of protein are chicken (particularly the breast), turkey, and fish. You need to make sure that your diet includes plenty of these three high-protein foods. Lean red meats, eggs, and nuts are also useful sources of protein, but you should get most of it from turkey, chicken, and fish.
Carbs Are Your Workout Energy Source
Carbs are your body's main fuel. If you don't eat enough carbs, you won't have the energy to work out long enough or hard enough to build muscle. And even if you somehow manage to pull off the workouts, without enough carbohydrates, your body won't have the energy to rebuild your muscles stronger.
Not all carbohydrates are the same though. Simple carbohydrates, like bread or table sugar, give you a quick jolt of energy followed by a crash, while at the same time giving you a bunch of empty calories that your body is very likely to store as fat. Complex carbohydrates like whole grain breads, fruits, and vegetables give you a slower, but longer lasting supply of energy, contain lots of nutrients with their calories, and are much less likely to end up as fat. Eat lots of complex carbs, eliminate simple carbs from your diet as best you can, you'll find that you have the energy you need for muscle g About the Author

Drum will not go back on brake assembly?
I installed new shoes on my 2000 Ford Ranger and the new drum will go on the assembly but will not spin even with the wheel on. The adjusting screw is in all the way and so is the cylinder. The old drum will go on there but still doesn't have enough play as it should any suggestions? I've never come around this before all the parts are 9 inch drum shoes and new springs. I've done these things over and over again on other vehicles but never seen this before. Thanks for the answers
If you have the old drum double check they are the same in diameter. When doing brake work with drum brakes and the parking brake is part of the system the correct way is always slacken the parking brake. Its not uncommon for people to adjust parking brakes by the cable and not at the brake itself first. I think what happened in some novice adjusted the cable and now even if the parking brake at the handle or pedal is completely off the new thicker shoes stick out so far even with the "star adjusters" totally backed off the drum has no chance of fitting over the shoes.
Step one slacking the cable(s) a lot step two put the drum on step 3 adjust the (star wheels) step 4 adjust the parking brake. NOTE the parking brake must have a little slack in them.
