dad bought a new 71 bug, can anyone tell me specs on it?
1971 beetle for restore, its running and ready
it has 2 carburetors
how fast is this little car?
i know base HP is about 60 with a single 1 barrel carb, but what about with 2carbs? dual exhaust as well 3in exhaust system
What you have is a beetle that came with a single carb and 45HP 1600 engine. Now with 2 carbs and performance cam it might have 60 HP. It will go fast enough to get you a speeding ticket. Under "normal" circumstances it would easily do highway speeds and beefed up it will do about 100MPH but be careful of the frontend shimmy at higher speeds.

Chrysler 340 Carburetor set up?
I have a 1969 Dodge 340, bored 0.030 over, edelbrock dual plane intake, x-heads, mild-agressive cam. I am curious as to what carb would be suitable. I ran a 600 holley for a bit (Was shitty carb but ran ok), currently have a new 750 on there but runs WAY too rich. I was told 670 or 570 holley. Any other ideas, and 570 or 670?
A 600 is more suitable for that size of engine. A 750 will not deliver more power. You need to have the carb jetted and set up right, in order for it to work right. I personally would use a Carter AFB-type, such as an Edelbrock, they are better on the low end, I think.
