95 ford ranger failing pressure test for AZ emissions?
Hi, I have a 95 ford ranger that is failing the pressure test on emissions. I replaced the gas tank vent and it looks like the evap canister and line to the manifold was replaced. (i was selling it but I got it back due to it not passing emissions) without taking it in for service what should I check/replace next?
if you don't find anything have a shop find leak with smoke tester.

Using a Direct Vent Water Heater
One of the amazing things about today's modern equipment is that there are several different types of everything. Take water heaters for example. You can get a water heater that uses a tank (the old system that's been in most homes for as long as anyone can remember!). You can get one that heats water on demand, and although this can be a bit more expensive to run, it is incredibly convenient, especially for homes that have multiple bathroom showers, washing machines, and sinks that all use hot water at the same time. There is no limit to how much water can be heated so everyone gets hot water for as long as they want or need it.
There is a direct vent water heater as well which essentially is a self contained unit that is set in a wall where a vent is installed out to the outside world to vent fumes and bring fresh air into the unit. This is a great unit if you want to get into the gas heating arena but don't want to have to install a robust system to do it. You can maintain your old system as a backup but this unit will save you money and generates a great deal of hot water as well as a way to heat the home!
You can get a direct vent water heater that can ventilate out a window in the bathroom (so no infrastructure cutting necessary) and will heat up the water very efficiently. This unit is under eight hundred dollars and works incredibly well for a home with less room that may be using an expensive and unnecessary electrical water heating unit. The direct vent water heaters have great insulation that maintains the heat so there is no loss of energy, which saves you money in the short and long run. You can find a great deal of information online that will help you decide which unit would best fit your needs and budget. There are many pages written to help you navigate the confusion when your new to the world of water heaters.
