can you make an electric start atv into a kick start?
if so how?
. Sure you can.
Here's some info: "...The Honda 2006 TRX450R ATV is the best sport ATV Honda's ever made especially with new features like a new engine with even more power, new suspension settings and steering geometry, and kick start or electric versions. The Honda 2006 TRX450R ATV electric start has a msrp of $6,799 while you can get the kick start version for $6,649.
Honda says converting between the electric and kick starting unit will be quite expensive and Honda isn’t planning on offering a conversion kit. " ... and more >>>
>>> "...What you need is a kick start shaft, clutch side cover and the kick start lever from an XR 200 (I used the parts off of an 83 XR 200 R). You have to split the cases to change the kick start shaft but you can use the gears, shims and spring from the 200 X kick start shaft. As far as the gear ratios being different they are not (at least on the early 80's models). The ratio of the first five gears (out of 6) on the XR 200 R are the same ratio as the 5 speed tranny on the 200 X motor. The 6th gear on the XR is higher and is good if riding high speed roads, etc. One difference is the XR uses a kick start acuated compression release which the 200 X does not, you will need to plug the hole in the XR clutch side case where the acuator goes through." .........
....... call your atv company and ask for a "kickstart conversion kit". The lakeCycle site has 'em for $163. Looks simple.

Can I use a motorbike/ATV lead acid battery on a 24v scooter motor?
I need to buy a battery for my homemade electric scooter that has a 24 volt motor. I was going to buy 2 12v sealed lead acid battery but i could turn out cheaper to get a motorbike/scooter/atv battry...will this be too powerful for a 24 volt motor?
as long you don't go over the limit of motor ratings, it is ok. In this case 24v maximum, I assume it is DC motor. Two 12V batteries in series will be ok too.
