How to strip cable wire easy?
I have 32 pounds of cable wire I found in my garage when I moved in, I called the scrap yard and they said they would give me $0.85 a pound but it would be worth more as copper. Any suggestions on how to strip it?
Burning the insulation off is the fastest way to get yourself landed in jail for violating the EPA standards of today. 10 years ago, Sure. No problem. Today? It can get you a fine, or worse.
The best way is with a sharp knife and a whole day at it. #1 copper will get you the best price. #1 is defined as "shiny". Burning it defeats this definition. Hope this helps.
