What is the tube coming out of the bottom of carb on 50cc VIP scoot supposed to connect to? Mines loose?
I just got this thing. The rubber hose is forward on the left side of the carb and has a metal piece on the end that looks like an idle screw in the end of that. It looks like it should have originally been bolted to something but it was hanging loose. Also that metal thing has a hole in the side of it that is leaking gas, not good. What gives? Thanks.
It is not a drain. It is not an overflow. It is a vent.
If there is gas coming out, you have a problem.
The problem is that the fuel level is too high in the carb bowl.
The cause may be a stuck or improperly adjusted float, or a needle valve not seating due to dirt or other blockage.
