what connection for led lights?
i recently bought 2X30cm flexible waterproof strip lights from ebay they are for cars but say you can use them around the home and garden, my problem is they don't have any plugs on them, just two wires and i don't know what to buy to make them work safetly. I have looked at various items on ebay and lighting shops but don't know what i'm looking for, can anybody help please?????

Get an AC adapter that provides 12 to 13.5V DC
at 1A (1000mA) or so, and use it to power the strips.
Two such strips will probably need less current than that,
but if you wanted to add more strips, you would have
a good current reserve available for them.
Polarity will matter; if the lights don't work, reverse it.

neon light questions?

Sure you just need a 12 volt DC power supply. You can get one at radio shack for about $20. If you're going to run several (up to 4) of these, a 1 amp supply should do the trick, if you want more a larger 2 or 3 amp supply might cost a few dollars more. just cut the end off wire coming out of the power supply and strip the wires back if you can tell positive from negative, hook them up properly. If you cant, just wire up one strip, ( be aware that this might burn out one of the light strips, but according to the eBay thing they were only $2.50 and this is cheaper than a meter if you don't know how to use one anyway)plug the supply in but be ready to pull it out fast if the lights don't come on, if they don't come on unplug it quick and reverse the power supply wires on the light strip, plug it back in it should light up, wire all the rest of the strips that you want to run to the supply in the same way ( this is called "in parallel) twist all the wires together and solder them, if you can but, if not just tape it all together with electrical tape it's not gonna hurt anyone, but if the wires shorted together, it might burn out the power supply.
