Who do you like Bear Grylls or Les Stroud?

I personally like Bear, whether or not he stayed in a hotel. People make such a big deal about that when really he gets payed to teach you how to survive, not for him to survive. And his "crew" consists of three people, camera, audio, and first aid.

And of course Bear is monitored by other people, so is Les Stroud on the Deep Woods episode the BATTERYS in his GPS die so for the next ten minutes of the show he constantly repeats "I can't find Bob". Who the hell is Bob?! I can only guess he's the guy that Les reenacts Broke Back Mountain with in their TENT with their BOW and GUNS because they lost an ATV!!!!!!

Who looks to this guy for advice, I mean really? But you guys could be right..... If your going to survive alone it would be alot easier with BATTERYS, GPS, TENT, BOW, GUNS, and a fuckin ATV!!!!!

i like them both they do things that normal people would never do. they should be respected because they risk there lives to provide educational and just plain good tv.

I'll try to be kind here and keep my comments on the "High Road". Some of the stuff Bear Grylls does and "teaches" on his TV show can actually make a dangerous situation much worse. I have no doubt he has been there and done that. However his TV Survival show is pure Hollywood.

I'd ask anyone serious about learning survival skills not to use his show as a format or base of what they would do in similar situations. It's well.....pure rubbish.

But I do enjoy him jumping blindly into raging rivers, and rappelling off of shear cliffs with vines. Not to mention eating raw meat, offal, and finally animal scat. Next time he floats dow a river ask yourself how the heck is he so buoyant ?! Could it be he's wearing a flotation vest under his shirt ?! Bear Grylls, I'm sure he's a nice guy, I'm sure I could learn stuff from him in a one on one setting. But the Hollywood aspect has corrupted his show.

Tips and tricks on cutting spliting stacking firewood?

I need a few tips and tricks on cutting firewood.I cutt alot
of firewood on the week ends .I have a few STIHL chainsaws
a can't hook to move big logs a log spliter and a maul.I have tons
of safty gear. And an ATV and trailer to move the wood out. Any
tips or tricks you have would be very helpful.

Sounds like you're pretty set on equipment. The things I've learned over the years are pretty obvious looking back, haha...such as cutting to sizes you can carry, and don't overload the trailer...

But one thing I did learn from my Dad was not to pile wood too close to trees you don't want to cut down, even if it's only going to be there for a day or two. We've had some problems with bark beetles, and they'll crawl out of wood piles and onto live trees, and can cause major die-off problems if you aren't careful. Oh, and if you're going to be leaving piles for a while, watch out for wood rats. They can make a HUGE mess as well as spread diseases.

Good luck!

How To Buy A Garden Shed

If you are looking to build or buy an outside storage shed, it is going to be vital for you to know which options are available to you. If you've never shopped for outside storage before, you may be confounded at the great number of options that actually exist. This could make it seem a bit overpowering to pick the ones for you but it is possible to narrow your selections with some smart choices. Research is always the best option and you have taken the 1st step towards that right now.

First you want to consider the amount of space you have because this can affect which of many yard storage buildings you choose from. You can also build one which will fit to your wishes and dimensions. But first you want to know what kind of space you have got to work with. As many homeowners have realized, there are plenty of things that need to be stored outside your home. For example, a normal home needs a lawnmower, an edge trimmer, lawn chairs and garden furniture, a grill, and lots of other items that are clumsy but mandatory. Storing these things becomes a little bit of a challenge for those house owners who don't have a garage. Even for those with garages, the garage space fills up quickly, leaving the cars parked in the driveway or on the road. The answer to this problem perhaps an inexpensive movable storage shed.

once you have determined how big your storage structure needs to be, then you can decide what type meets your needs. A good way to help establish this is to consider what you'll be using it for. Is this a garden shed you want to keep your tools and equipment in? Does it need to be big enough for a lawn tractor?

There are choices when it comes to putting up a storage shed. Before making an investment in a shed, it's a great idea to make certain it'll meet your current and future needs . Take a look at the options available for purchase before deciding on choosing one suitable for you.

A site-built storage shed is a shed that you build yourself on your property. The advantage to this kind of shed is that you can completely customize it for your needs. [**] this type of shed has many distinct downsides.

The downsides of building your own storage shed include the time, money, and work involved in creating this type of structure. Building a shed isn't a weekend project and shouldn't be undertaken by the first-time do-it-yourselfer. It's regularly costlier to purchase the materials and build your own shed than it is to purchase a pre-built unit.

A conveyable storage shed arrives from factory pre boxed at your doorstep. You do not have to be a chippie expert to have one of these outbuildings, and you do not have to spend as much money on one of them as you would on building your own shed. For those on a budget, compared to the $3,000 to $4,000 cost of metal or wood shed, and you'll see that these movable storage sheds are the best choice.

The Original Shed-in-a-Box®. offers ratchet Tensioning System for simple & tight installation, makes it EASY to maintain! Unit features double zipper doors on BOTH ENDS, Great for motorcycles, ATV, snowmobiles, tools & equipment. Don't leave your precious motorcycle exposed to the elements any longer!

Because they are movable, these sheds aren't totally customizable. However [*COMMA] there are a few options available that are likely to meet your requirements. In addition to being more cost effective and less work, prortable outbuildings also provide you with storage much more quickly. These shed plans are excellent for outside storage, instant shelters and diy shed kits are the best in portable protection for any reason.

there are a few things you need to consider before you invest in a storage shed. You must ensure you have a clear idea of your storage needs . To get an excellent idea of what size and type of storage shed you need, make a list of everything you believe you will store in the structure.

For folks who have limited space available should give thought to a lean to shed. A lean to shed will take up much less space than an ordinary four sided shed and if you've got a terribly proscribed or confined backyard then a lean to shed may be the most sensible option for you.

whether you are a gardener, a workman, or a diy person, or one who never throws anything away - at last you'll need storage to meet all your needs . There are several online storage shed sites where in you should buy these sheds with different styles. Having a shed in your yard won't only rid your home of all of the debris, but will allow you to store your items in an arranged fashion.
