I have a 2005 Yamaha blaster that i took out today. It was running fine but then i went into a ditch and i stressed it a little to much. It gave out a really bad smell like rubber burning after it got out of the ditch. then about 20 feet forward going up a hill the clutch lever on the left side got really hard, not so hard that i couldn't press it but enough to notice. Then the ATV wouldn't go forward. The ATV starts and does every thing including shift but doesn't move forward. Ive only used three times since i bought it and never changed the transmission oil.
whats the value of a 99 suzuki lt80 quadsport thats just missing the exhaust and needs a new plug and battery?
it runs great but is just missing exhaust and needs a new plug and battery.this local guys comes and buys up used or not ridden anymore quads and bikes.i dont want to get ripped off.but what would the value of this quad be with it running great but needing a new plug and battery and exhaust?other than that it runs perfect.so how much should i get for it.what would be a fair price.
Its still listed for 06 so find out price of new one, half that then find price of the parts needed to make it right and take that from what you already worked out. Minus an hour or so labour and it gives you a high number. How bad does it look cosmetically? if its rough you probably wont get more than scrap value, even if it runs ($25~$50.00)
BTW, it probably isn't running great without the exhaust and may need a re-bore or new cylinder/piston
1998 malibu 2.4 blowing gas out the tail pipe #2 spark plug getting gas not burning off, others are fine?
The engine idles rough #2 spark plug missing and exhaust gas fumes going out the tail pipe and you can smell, see gas coming out the pipe with white smoke
This is a dangerous situation because you have unburned fuel going through a hot tailpipe, which could possibly start a fire. Do not run the car until you have at least replaced the plug wire and spark plug on the #2 cylinder.
Anyone else disappointed with the gas mileage of the new Honda Ridgeline?
I just purchased a new Honda Ridgeline, RTL model with a tonneau cover and I am quite displeased with the gas mileage. I am averaging 14.5 to 15.3 miles per gallon. Now I didn't expect fuel economy with a truck/SUV vehicle, but I did fully expect to get within the mileage ratings spec of 16 to 21 mpg. Perhaps even as high as 19 or 20 mpg with the tonneau cover eliminating the bed as a major wind drag factor.
I do love the truck, but the gas mileage is a major disappointment.
what a coincidence
my brother was complaining about that same thing
It sure is dissapointing
Will a k&n intake or bed cover help gas mileage more?
I have a dodge dakota 4.7 v8 and am looking to help improve the gas mileage. I already put a flowmaster muffler in and ran 2 pipes out the back. I'm debating now whether to put in a K&N cold air intake or get a tonneau cover. Which would help my gas the most? Thanks.
the intake for certain. the other poster was correct. new trucks are designed to create an aerodynamic pocket of air behind the cab of the truck. it actually hurts your mileage a little to put the tailgate down, as it causes more drag. the cover might not make much difference either way, but it will look sharp.

Napier Fender Flares for 97+Jeep Cherokees: an overview
How do I remove the rear fender flares that came on my 2001 Jeep Sahara?
I have bought new ones to put on that are wider. I have already got the front ones removed wtih no problems at all. But the fender flares that are on the back are not as easy or simple to remove. It's like they are attached to the actual body of the Jeep, whereas the front ones were attached to the fender.
Please help me figure this out.....thank you.
The bolts that hold the fender flare on, just spin. I can't get to the backside of the bolt to brace the nut in order to get the bolt out. My neighbor said to just cut the head of the bolt off and then push the rest all the way through to the inside of the body. Will that work? I'm afraid that if I cut the bolt, I won't be able to push the rest of it in and then I for sure wouldn't be able to attach the new fender.
If you have taken out all the bolts/screws, and see no others. From inside the wheel well lightly pry between the flare and body and see if you see anything white or gray. I bet they are held on by 2 sided tape, many flares are.
I don't work on Jeeps much, but from pulling up an image of your Jeep, it should just have like 8 bolts inside the fender well and then pop off, or if at most, have 2 sided tape.
If tape, you can either use a heat gun and quickly pass back and forth and get it warm and then slowly pull the flare away or you can pry the flare away some and slice the tape in half with a fresh razor blade. Just pulling might pull paint with it.
Once off, if any residue, lacquer thinner will clean it right up, just re-wax the area aftewards. I would also wash, dry and wax the regions under the new flares, might as well get some protection there now while they are off.
