MX Vs ATV Reflex [HD]

Ok i need help. Spark plug issues?

hey everyone. I asked this on ATV Connection Forums but not a single person answered. i'm a little miffed at this, but heres my question to you.

on my ATV, the spark plug sparks sometimes, and not other times. most of the time it doesn't spark, and therefore it won't start. but anyway, it does spark occasionally, i've seen it. So, what could this be? i really need help thanks.

Try changing out your plug wires, perhaps there is a break in it. This will give you the symptoms you describe. First put an ohm meter on them to find out if you have line resistance and how much then put some voltage into it and see what you register on the outlet end. You should have full magneto voltage or close to it.
I am surprised you did not get a satisfactory reply from the ATVers. Hope this helps some. I hate to be the "wet blanket", you may also have a reluctor or magneto that is failing, perhaps your ignition coil is going bad too. Your ohm/voltage meter will tell you the story in short order. Good luck to you.
