The USMC used some gas engined KLR650s, and then some specially-built diesel conversions from Hayes Diversified. I have never heard of their using 250's, but it certainly could have been the case.

can you spray plastic and with good quality?

im wanting to change my motorbike from red to black, and to buy the whole new plastics it is £250, so i was wondering, can you spray plastic and also have a good quality effect to it?
I once sprayed my handguards but you could really tell they where bad quality, i was wondering, if i went to a shop would the quality be like ive bought new?

you can spray the plastic using a paint called 'plastikote' you can get it from good diy stores the cans cost from £6 to £12 depending on the size of the can.
To apply, make sure surface is clean and dry, rough the surface up a bit with a light sand paper so the paint has a 'key' to grip to, apply a coat or two of undercoat then a coat or two of topcoat.I have used this paint in the past on lots of plastic items and the quality of the finish has been excelent as long as you take your time and prepare the area to be painted well.once finished the topcoat can be sprayed with 'plastikote' varnish to protect the paint work.
