My 300 Bayou 4X4 ATV quit firing?

I was ridding my four wheeler today it backfired and quit....I changed the sparkplug and it still wouldn't start.
I stuck a screwdrive in the plug wire and held it close to the motor, when I was cranking it over nothing happened.
Any Ideas?

Backfired implies that gas was burned somewhere other than inside the cylinder which means one of two things.

#1 - gas got through into the hot exhaust system where it ignited.
#2 - spark or fire got out of the cylinder and up into the carb and the backfire came out of there.

#1 is more common. Lack of spark, too much fuel, valves not seating properly are the main culprits. Since you have no spark afterwards check the battery to see if its charged and work your way out from there. The coil is a good candidate but not the only possible cause.

#2 is less common but does more damage. if you find that the 4x4 won't start after you've verified that there is spark give the carb an inspection.

What you describe doesn't sound like engine damage but it could well be that something broke too. Just make a list of things that are most obvious and most easily fixed and work your way from there, starting with the battery and gas tank. (spark and fire)

where can i find a 6 inch lift for a honda 300 4X4 atv online?

I highly suggest not doing this as it will end up with you on your side much more frequently. If you can't get through it with the current ground clearance the lift won't help you any more and it'll most likely destroy the drivetrain a lot quicker then any normal use would do.

But in the source is a link. While I highly suggest learning how to drive it with its current clearance because altering it will just make it more likely for you to get hurt here it is.
