i had asked how to change a rear turn signal light in the back of a Chevy S 10..?
now I want to know how to remove the lens that covers the light bulb?
Let the tailgate down. Where the tailgate latched there is one screw and about 4" below that will be a second screw. Remove those 2 screws and the tail light can be removed.

Installing Signal Mirrors In Your Car
One of the latest gadgets introduced for improvement and safety while driving cars are the signal mirrors. This beautiful pair of mirrors completely alters the usual exterior rearview mirrors into high-defined safety features commanding attention. Also known as turn signal mirrors, they form an integral part of driving today for they not only add style to the car's side mirrors but also supplement safety to the driver and the vehicle on road.
These mirrors are compatible with all kinds of side mirrors, even the JDM mirrors. While driving, when you enter a car's bind spot, with the help of these signal mirrors you would be warned if the car is moving to your lane when compared to other cars where drivers would have to rely on the signal lights that are located besides the tail lights. Once the turn signal mirrors are activated, a high-intensity flashing LED chevron, for instance, appears in the corresponding side of the mirror which alerts drivers in the blind spot of their intentions.
Installing Signal Mirrors
One can install signal mirrors by themselves also; it usually takes an hour or two for the same. For that, one would require a Torx screwdriver, a gauge wire, snake, tap connectors, flat-headed screwdriver, a wrench and splicing connectors. If one feels hard to do it themselves, it could be done outside as well very easily!
Step 1 would include disassembling of the side mirrors for which one could begin with pushing it down and then pulling it from the top of the car so as to dislocate the ball-and-socket under the side mirror. Once the side mirror is removed, the covers have to be removed which could be done with the help of a screwdriver. Then, the mirror needs to be removed off its hinges with the help of a Torx screwdriver. Further, the little triangular plastic piece too needs to be removed which can be done by a little hand force!
Step 2 includes routing the wires of the signal mirrors to the car's body. For this, the gauge wires need to be run from the mirror to the car door (to where all the wires lead to). Find a rubber conduit where one would notice a door trim which is where all the wires need to be tucked in. Repeat the procedure for the other side!
Step 3 involves routing the wires of the turn signal mirrors to the headlights and the ideal way of doing it would be by snaking the wire from the mirror to the engine bay. This one could be hard; so the other way would be to snake the wires from the quarter panel of rubber conduit (from step2) to the engine bay. A coat hanger would help!
Step 4 encloses tapping the wires into the turn signal for which the wires to be tapped need to be identified. These are the brightly wrapped bundled wires which need to be tapped to the red and black wires with the help of t-tap connector.
Step 5 is the final step where the signal mirrors need to be attached and everything else is re-assembled.
The installation of signal mirrors is indeed very simple and it is after all for the safety of lives and property!
