How many teeth are on a ring gear and pinion gear on a 1995 crown vic?
i have a 1995 crown victoria lx i need to know the gear ratios because my rear end is shot and i am trying to find a replacement but need to know this before i go looking for a rear end thanks so much the sooner the better the small amount of research i have done looks like most models have a gear ratio of 3.08 but need to make sure what they are for the 1995 year model thanks again and answer as quick as you can pls thanks

i have a ring and pinion gears for a gm 10 bolts with 40 - 13 9.75 what does that mean?
guy that i use to work with gave me a ring and pinion for a chevy the ring has the numbers 40 and 13 9.75 whats does that mean?
Pinion has 13 teeth, Ring gear 40 teeth, making it a 3.08 gear ratio.
That is a tall gear, good for highway use, not a performance gear.
I think it is stamped 8.75 would be the diameter of the ring gear, A 10 bolt would not have a 9.75 ring gear.
That would be very large for any passenger car. 9.75 would be out of a HD truck rear end, not compatible with a passenger car housing.
