Zero 7 - Polaris
Why does Polaris not appear to move much in our Northern sky?
The "North Star" or Polaris does not appear to move much in our sky. Polaris always appears directly north in our sky and has been used to tell direction for as long as we know.
All Stars appear fixed do to the parallax effect.
Polaris position almost lines up with the North Pole of the Earth within one degree.
However our solar system is moving at the Rate of 250 kilometers per second and Polaris is moving a little faster .It will come to one point in Time that Polaris will no longer be our North Star.
