I reconnected the battery while the key was turned in the ignition now my car wont start?
i tried to turn on my car this morning and remembered the battery was unconnected
i left the key in the ignition in the on position and as soon as the battery clamp hit the ground terminal i saw a spark and i heard a sound like something broke underneath the engine
was did i break?
the car wont rev anymore when i turn the ignition to start
the radio and evertyhing else still works
i checked the fuses and everyone was fine
usually that shouldnt have damaged anything but why were you disconnecting battery? depending on car there could be either maxi fuse in starting system or fuse link(wire meant to burn out like fuse) maxi fuses are giant looking fuses and might be mounted on battery cable or near fuse block(s) fuse links could be on battery cable, near fuse block(s) or on starter wire(s) if you heard a snap then that was the maxi or fuse link blowing

Question about Mustang Push Button Start Ignition Kit?
I have a 05 mustang and received the Mustang Push Button Start Ignition Kit as a gift. Since I dont have the time and the tools needed to install it myself Im looking to get someone else to install it but am not sure who will do it. Anybody know what type of places I should search for to get it installed.
It's a wiring/electrical job, so maybe a stereo installation place ???
