What is the best exhaust for a 2006 Kawasaki ZZR600?
I'm looking for an exhaust that isn't annoyingly loud that still has some throaty sound to it. I would like some boost in performance.
Just leave it alone...If you want a boost in performance get a bigger bike. I don't understand why so many people want to alter the exhaust on their new motorcycle. How often do you see a 2006 model car with it's exhaust altered? That is something people used to do to cars with carbuerated V8's. Today's cars have computer controlled fuel-injection and ignition systems and exhaust systems tuned to match that and altering them usually causes a loss if felt power instead of a gain and if it does gain power it's not enough to justify the money spent. Today's motorcycles are the same way. You can't just re-jet the carbs like you could the with the older stuff, it's more complicated than that now. And if you gain any horsepower you will still lose some bottom end torque and being a 600 it's already weak on bottom end, you will just be making it worse. You will miss that torque more than you will enjoy the tiny amount of added horsepower. And besides that the increased noise will start to limit your fun because all you are doing is making it easier for cops to hear you. Keep it quite and enjoy it like it is.

how many turns out for the air idle screws 98 kawasaki zx11 with aftermarket exhaust and stock airbox?
just went through and cleaned carbs on 98 zx11 and need to know the base line to set air idle screws clymer says 1 5/8 turns from lightly seated. does that sound right?
Yes that sounds good.I usually do 1 1/2 turns so that's only a bit more.
