Brake Shoes Lifetime Warranty Good or Bad?

My friend thinks if you buy brake shoes with a lifetime warranty, they accomplish this by making the shoe material so hard, it wears the brake drum and not so much the shoe. True or False? Should I buy a shoe with a lifetime warranty? Everyone has a favorite but if anyone has researched the best brake shoe/pad manufactuer whom might that be?

There are certain things that are considered "wear items", this means that through natural use of the vehicle, they will wear down and need replaced. Things like tires, clutch disks, and brakes.

Do not get any brake pad that advertises a "Lifetime Warranty", you are buying more hassle than anything else.

When you have to components pressing together like that, there WILL be wear on both sides, it is just designed so the majority of the wear is on the pad rather than the rotors or drums. If you buy a Lifetime Warranty pad, when it comes time to replace them, and you try to get them replaced under warranty, they will deny it. Whatever excuse they make up, or whatever reason, they will not replace them. You didn't have a Certified Technician install the part... you didn't lube the slides... you didn't do some other thing no one knows to do.

I prefer AC Delco or Raybestos pads myself, that is assuming you do not want to use the OEM pads from the Dealer.
