ATV's Deadly For Young Riders? Associated Press video.?
They say that out of 555 deaths, 100 were children. Out of 146,000 + treated, 27% were children.
This statement illicits a "duh" from me. They are just coming out with this "Study". Sort of obvious to me. They certainly don't look safe. Why let children ride on them? Why bother having them wait to get a driver's license for a car then? I know a lot of adults take safety measures to keep their kids safe on these things but I bet more don't bother.

My biggest fear occurred last year when my son received a compression fracture after an accident. He rode next to our house, we checked the track ever other day for debris, he had a helmet, goggles, boots, elbow and knee guards. We even taught him how to jump off to keep the bike off of him. Didn't matter, the rain washed away around a pipe protruding from the ground that we never saw. His front tire hit it, he went flying and landed right on top of his head.
I still hate them but there's so many other ways kids can get hurt or in trouble. I thought he'd be ok since he was right here and I knew where he was and what he was doing!
I think it's like with anything some get lucky and some don't.

Why does Obama find the AZ law misguided but not the killing of an AZ rancher by an undocumented immigrant?
Funeral services for Robert Krentz are set for April 9th and 10th in Douglas.
Krentz was shot to death on his ranch sometime Saturday, March 27th.
Searchers found his body in his ATV.
His dog was shot and injured.
Investigators say Krentz came upon a lone illegal immigrant.
They followed the tracks twenty miles to Mexico.
There is no suspect information at this time.
You know what. Enough of the political bull sh*t in DC. People are dying along our borders and those of us that want to have a secure border are being called racist. While I don't think the new AZ law is a good idea, we can't just do nothing about the issue.
We have to make our cops and citizens unafraid of defending themselves and enforcing the laws. A year or so ago, a cop in one of the border states pulled over a van full of illegals. It then sped off and the cop fired at the tires to stop the van. It ricocheted and then hit a pregnant lady. The cop lost his job. WTF!?!
And for those that think that we are denying human rights for wanting deportation and enforcement of the laws, how do you feel about the coyotes. They constantly hold the aliens for ransom, and usually put them in harsh conditions, like ten aliens in a bathroom, thirty aliens crammed into a bedroom, with very little food, hardly any water, they take the aliens' shoes, and if the ransom isn't met, a quick death. So who's worse: us for wanting the laws to be enforced, or the coyotes who torture the aliens?
