Atv Covers

Best material for an atv seat cover?
i want to make a new atv seat cover, i just want to buy the material for it because the seat i have now has a rip in it so i just wanted to get new material to go on it,
it needs to be waterproof and kinda non slip doesn't have to be really sticky but it has to have some grip, thanks for the help
Marine grade vinyl will be the most durable. Don't know about grip but I don't go sliding around on my motorcycle seat.

why is this

Your pull start mechanism is attached to the flywheel on your ATV. When you yank on it, you apply stress to the pull start, and the cover, which is attached to another side cover (I'm guessing at the design of your ATV, as you didn't state a model.)
Basically what I'm saying is that you have broken your gasket on the side cover, and oil is leaking out. Unless it's hemorrhaging oil all over, I wouldn't worry much; just wipe it off and monitor your oil level.
If it is bad, order a new gasket, drain your oil, clean the gasket surfaces spotlessly, and reassemble with a new gasket, using a torque wrench and proper specs.
Another possibility is you've blown your flywheel crankcase seal (the seal that keeps the oil in where the crankshaft pokes through to hold the flywheel.) If that's the case, then you're leaking oil all over the inside of your pull start, which won't do your rope any favors. That would be require a motor tear down to repair.
Does this help? Hope so. Good luck.
